Howard (Cork) Hayden is a Professor Emeritus of Physics from the University of Connecticut. A Colorado native, he received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in physics at the University of Denver. He spent his academic career at the University of Connecticut where he spent 32 years doing teaching and research.  Most of his research was in accelerator-based atomic physics, but he also performed a Trouton-Noble experiment that was 105 times as sensitive as the original. Hayden publishes a monthly newsletter, The Energy Advocate, which is in its 18th year of publication.  He has written several books about energy and climate.
