The Heartland Institute's Fifth International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC-5) — the first held outside the United States — took place on Oct. 1, 2010 in Sydney, Australia.

The day-long event was part of the Pacific Rim Policy Exchange, sponsored by Heartland, Americans for Tax Reform, the Property Rights Alliance, and the Institute of Public Affairs.

Presentations included: ”The Political State of Play of Climate Change Policy in Australia” by Sen. Cory Bernardi, “The Reconstruction of Past Sea-Level Change: Policy Implications,” by Bob Carter, “Lower CO2 Levels: Costs, Benefits and Possibilities” by economist Alan Moran, and “Is the Western Climate Establishment Corrupt?” by David Evans.

The second Heartland climate conference held outside the United States was the Eighth International Conference on Climate Change, held in Munich, Germany, from November 30 - December 1, 2012.
